Macbeth

Macbeth receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King of Scotland. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, Macbeth murders King Duncan and takes the Scottish throne for himself.

Initially a brave and loyal Thane to King Duncan, Macbeth becomes consumed by ambition and greed when he receives a prophecy from three witches that he will become king of Scotland himself. Fuelled by this prophecy and his wife's encouragement, he kills King Duncan and takes the throne - but in the aftermath becomes stricken with guilt and paranoia.
